Subscription Plans

Karma One uses an energy-based usage system. Every AI interaction consumes energy, and different models and features consume different amounts. Choose a plan that matches your usage pattern.

How Energy Works

Energy is the universal currency for AI interactions on Karma One. Here is how it works:

  • Every message you send to an AI model costs energy.
  • Different models cost different amounts of energy per message (see the Model Selection Guide for details).
  • Energy resets daily at midnight (your local timezone).
  • Unused daily energy does not roll over to the next day.
  • Some features (image generation, file analysis, web search) consume additional energy on top of the base message cost.

Billing Cycle

  • Monthly billing: Pay month-to-month, cancel anytime.
  • Annual billing: Pay for 12 months upfront and receive a 20% discount.

Upgrading Your Plan

  1. Open Settings from the sidebar.
  2. Tap Subscription.
  3. Select your desired plan.
  4. Confirm payment.
  5. New energy limits and features take effect immediately.

Tip: When upgrading mid-cycle, you receive a prorated credit for the unused portion of your current plan.

Downgrading

You can downgrade at any time. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You retain all features until then. Note:

  • Avatars beyond the new plan's limit will become read-only (not deleted).
  • Knowledge bases beyond the limit will remain accessible but you cannot create new ones.
  • Active autopilot tasks beyond the limit will be paused.

Invoicing

  • Invoices are generated automatically at each billing cycle.
  • Download invoices from Settings > Subscription > Billing History.
  • Enterprise customers can request custom invoicing (PO numbers, specific formats).
  • Chinese fapiao (invoice) is available upon request for China-based customers.

Refund Policy

  • Monthly plans: You may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription if you have used less than 20% of your daily energy on any given day.
  • Annual plans: Full refund within 14 days of purchase under the same usage conditions. After 14 days, a prorated refund is available for remaining full months.
  • Enterprise plans: Governed by individual contract terms.

To request a refund:

  1. Email support@karmabox.ai with your account email and reason.
  2. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.
  3. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when I run out of energy?

You can still access your conversations and read previous messages, but new AI interactions are paused until the next daily reset. You can also purchase an energy top-up if you need more before the reset.

Can I share energy across team members?

On the Team plan, each seat has its own daily energy allocation. Energy is not pooled or transferable between members.

Is there a free trial for paid plans?

New users can request a 7-day Pro trial by contacting support. No credit card required.

Do knowledge base queries count against energy?

Yes, each knowledge base query costs 1-2 energy depending on the number of documents searched.

Can I use Karma One without a subscription?

Yes, the Free plan is available indefinitely. You get 50 energy per day, which is enough for 10-25 messages depending on the model.
