Avatar Store

The Avatar Store is a community marketplace where you can discover, install, and share avatars and skills. It brings together pre-built avatars for common use cases, specialized skills for advanced workflows, and community contributions from other Karma One users.

Store Overview

The store is organized into two main sections:

Browsing and Searching

Browse by Category

Avatars and skills are organized into categories:

  • Productivity --- writing assistants, summarizers, translators
  • Development --- code reviewers, DevOps helpers, API designers
  • Research --- market analysts, academic researchers, data scientists
  • Creative --- copywriters, designers, content strategists
  • Business --- financial advisors, legal consultants, project managers
  • Lifestyle --- fitness coaches, travel planners, recipe creators

Search

Use the search bar to find avatars or skills by name, description, or keyword. Search results show relevance-ranked items with preview cards.

Installing Avatars

To install an avatar from the store:

  1. Open the Store and find the avatar you want.
  2. Tap the avatar card to view its detail page.
  3. Review the description, skills, and user ratings.
  4. Tap Install to add it to your avatar list.
  5. The avatar appears in your sidebar, ready to use.

Installed avatars come with their pre-configured skills, persona, and knowledge base settings. You can customize them further after installation.

Tip: Installing an avatar creates your own copy. Any changes you make do not affect the original store listing or other users' copies.

Reviews and Usage Stats

Each store listing displays:

  • Rating --- average user rating on a 5-star scale.
  • Install count --- how many users have installed the avatar or skill.
  • Reviews --- written feedback from other users.
  • Last updated --- when the creator last modified the listing.

Before installing, read reviews to understand the avatar's strengths and any limitations reported by other users.

Publishing Your Avatar

You can share your own avatars with the community by publishing them to the store:

  1. Open the avatar you want to publish.
  2. Go to Settings and select Publish to Store.
  3. Write a clear description explaining what the avatar does and who it is for.
  4. Choose a category.
  5. Submit for review.

What Gets Published

When you publish an avatar, the following is shared:

  • Avatar persona and system prompt
  • Skill configuration (which skills are enabled)
  • Knowledge base references (if applicable)
  • Description and category metadata

Your private conversations and personal data are never included.

Skill Store

The skill store works the same way as the avatar store but for individual skills. You can:

  • Browse skills by category or search by name.
  • Install skills and bind them to any of your avatars.
  • Publish custom skills you have created.
  • View usage stats and reviews.

Review Process

All submissions to the store go through a review process before becoming publicly available:

  1. Submission --- you submit your avatar or skill for review.
  2. Automated checks --- the system validates the configuration for completeness and safety.
  3. Community review --- the submission is reviewed for quality and usefulness.
  4. Publication --- approved submissions appear in the store.

Rejected submissions include feedback on what to improve for resubmission.

Best Practices

  • Try before you customize. Use an installed avatar as-is first to understand its baseline behavior before modifying it.
  • Read the reviews. Other users' experiences can save you time and set expectations.
  • Keep descriptions clear when publishing. Explain the use case, expected inputs, and what makes your avatar unique.
  • Update your published avatars when you improve them. Users appreciate active maintenance.
